Ossies Homestead Farmstay is located on a 40 acre heritage property at Gulnare in the Mid North of South Australia & until recently has been farmed by the Smart family & descendants since 1912. The property then was known as ‘Sunnybrae’.

We are set amongst the rolling hills and cropping country with its vast vistas and seasonal myriad of colours.

We offer a small recluse for self contained Caravaners & RV’s on our Farmstay. We offer sites with power & water, or without if you prefer. Hosted Bed & Breakfast is available in the Heritage Homestead .

You can enjoy our farm atmosphere - we have Alpacas, Wiltipoll Sheep plus geese & ducks. In honour of the original farm heritage we have called our studs – ‘Sunnybrae Alpacas’ & ‘Sunnybrae Wiltipolls’.

There is a lot to see and do around our region:

The Heysen trail section Spalding to Wirrabarra Forest is within our vicinity. The Bundaleer Reservior offers opportunities for fishing & birding & is only 5kms from our Homestead.

Clare Valley with its popular wineries – we are 55km’s north of here.

Burra with its mining heritage - <60kms away.

Nearby towns – Jamestown; Spalding; Gladstone; Laura & Crystal Brook all offer attractions/history & heritage of the region.
