First held 100 years ago in 1925, Back to Burra returns in 2025 with a month-long celebration of history, heritage, and community.

Throughout May, Burra will come alive with activities that honour its pioneering and mining legacy, bringing together locals, past residents, and visitors to share in the stories that have shaped this remarkable National Heritage listed town.

Whether you have family ties to Burra or are discovering it for the first time, this is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a town that has played a vital role in South Australia’s history.
