South Australia’s History Festival - May

South Australia’s History Festival in 2025 focuses on decision-making. After all, our history is made by decisions; some that maintain the status quo and others that forge new pathways.

The History Festival celebrates history for all South Australians; from multi-generational stories stretching across decades and millennia, across continents and country, in our urban centres, in our regional communities and natural heritage sites. In the Clare Valley & Mid North, there are close to 40 events celebrating History Festival this month, including a special celebratory program for the 180-year long history in Burra. To view the full Back to Burra program, head to the visitburra.com website. For the full History Month festival program, visit festival.history.sa.gov.au/events/.
